FATMA AVCI DYLJA

I was born in Ankara in 1991. I completed my education in public schools and graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Food Engineering.
I have been working in technical sales of food raw materials for over 10 years. I have worked with both local and international distributors and manufacturers. In 2018, I established my own sole proprietorship; with the trust and support of my business partners, I converted it into a limited company in 2019.
Following innovations in life sciences — food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals — and sharing that knowledge is what I love most about this work. Kantara Food is therefore not just a distributor; it is a bridge that ensures the right transfer of knowledge and the spread of innovation.
To fulfil this mission more effectively, I decided to invest in myself in finance and international trade during the pandemic years. In 2022, I was accepted into the International Trade Management thesis programme at Boğaziçi University. During my studies, I had the opportunity to participate in an exchange programme at the University of Oklahoma, where I developed a project on consumer behaviour and marketing strategies. Drawing from my own experience, I wrote my thesis on the impact of marketing strategies on eating disorders. I successfully completed the programme in 2025. I continue to follow research that brings together psychology, economics, food, and marketing.
In the Kantara blog posts I write with the interdisciplinary perspective this education has given me, I try to combine these fields with my own experience. I believe that approaching food and life sciences from different angles will build a bridge between producers and consumers.
